Where is Phillipe Albert now?
One of the first Belgian players to feature in the Premier League, Phillipe Albert earned legendary status amongst the Newcastle United fans for his performances in Kevin Keegan’s ‘Entertainers’ side which performed so well during the mid-nineties.
He retired from playing in 2000 after a season spent in Belgium with Charleroi having made over 350 first team appearances as well as representing the national side on 41 occasions.
Upon retiring from playing professionally, Albert cut ties with football and joined up with a friend in Belgium assisting him with the running of his fruit and vegetable firm until 2012.
He now works as a pundit and match analyst for a Belgian television station covering the Belgian league and the national team games as well as helping his wife with her equestrian business.
