Where is Paul Robinson now?
Former Spurs, Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson retired from playing in 2017 after spending 18 months as back-up to Tom Heaton at Burnley.
Coming up through the ranks at York City before moving to Elland Road as a 16-year old, Robinson went onto make 498 first-team appearances for just four clubs winning the League Cup with Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 and Player of the Season awards at both Leeds in 2003 and Blackburn in 2011.
As well as keeping numerous clean sheets he also scored two goals during his playing days, one in the Premier League and one in the League Cup.
On the international stage, Robinson represented England at under-21’s level as well as the senior team going onto win 41 caps and featuring in the squads for the 2004 UEFA European Championships and the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals.
Upon hanging up his goalkeeping gloves Robinson took some time out to spend with his family and is now regularly seen on our television screens as a pundit for the likes of Sky Sports, beIN Sports and Astro SuperSport.
