Where is Paul Furlong now?
Former Premier League striker Paul Furlong retired from playing in 2012 at the grand old age of 43 after a spell as player-coach at St Albans City.
Over a 26-year career he played for 12 clubs making over 700 appearances and scoring 230 goals.
He became Chelsea’s record signing when he signed from Watford in 1994 for £2.3 million and was also Birmingham City’s record signing in 1996 when he signed from the West London club for £1.5 million.
Upon retiring from playing Furlong went straight into coaching and is currently in charge of the Queens Park Rangers under 18’s academy team.
Hi son Darnell Furlong made his Premier League debut for Queens Park Rangers in February 2015 and joined West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2019.
