Where is Patrik Berger now?

Liverpool FC legend Patrik Berger was unfortunately beset with injuries throughout his playing days and ended up officially retiring on 6 January 2010 after a couple of seasons with Sparta Prague.

Over his 19 year career he made over 450 appearances, scored 83 goals and won the FA Cup and UEFA Cup during his time at Anfield as well as the Bundesliga and Super Cup when he was at Borussia Dortmund.

He was also a regular player for the Czech Republic national side winning 42 caps and scoring 18 goals as well as representing them at the 1996 and 2000 UEFA European Championships.

Since retiring from playing professionally, Berger has been involved in various tournaments across the globe for the Liverpool legends team and also in the Premier League Masters.

He also works for the club as an ambassador helping promote the brand abroad as well as working with the club’s charity partners and he has also modelled their clothing range with his daughter. 

In May 2016, he was signed up by television company Stadium Astro as a match analyst for their Euro 2016 coverage and has since appeared on a variety of football channels across the globe.
