Where is Marcus Stewart now?
After a five year career with Ipswich Town and Sunderland in the Premier League, Marcus Stewart dropped down the leagues and finally retired in 2011 when he was at Exeter City.
Playing for 20 years he made over 782 appearances and scored nearly 250 goals for eight different clubs. He was also the second-highest goalscorer in the Premier League in 2000-01 with 19 goals for Ipswich.

Stewart had already been involved in some coaching duties during his last two years as a player at Exeter City and upon retiring was appointed first-team coach.
In 2012 he moved to former side Bristol Rovers as a development coach before a promotion to first-team assistant manager in May 2014.
Although Rovers had dropped out of the league, Stewart assisted manager Darrell Clarke get back-to-back promotions with mid-table positions for the next two seasons.
Unfortunately after a poor start to the 2018-19 season with only four victories out of 21, the pair left the club after four and a half years service.
Following Clarke’s appointment as manager of Walsall in May 2019, Stewart joined him as assistant coach but he left after a year because of the travel and time spent away from his Bristol-based family .
