Where is John Carew now?
The 6 foot 4 inch tall, heavily tattooed Norwegian legend John Carew officially retired from playing in 2013 after a season in the Championship with West Ham United.
Over his 15-year career Carew had the opportunity to play in a number of different European countries including his native Norway, Spain, Italy, Turkey and France before plying his trade in England.
He ended up winning the Norwegian Football Cup, the La Liga title and Ligue 1 and was also a runner-up in the finals of the UEFA Champions League, the Football League Cup and also the FA Cup.
He was also an important part of the Norway international side during the 2000’s and won 91 caps, scoring 24 goals.

Since retiring from playing Carew has been busy with a variety of projects including underwear modelling, professional photography and also television work for Norwegian and English channels.
Carew has said that he feels that his future lies in film and television acting and he has made a few appearances in movies including a supporting role in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil which starred Angelina Jolie.
He also had a recurring role in the successful Norwegian television series Heimebane in which he playing an ageing footballer.
