Ivan Campo

Where is Ivan Campo now?

Having appeared in 124 Spanish first division games in seven seasons, and 190 first-team matches for Bolton Wanderers, Ivan Campo retired in 2009 after a short spell in Cyprus with AEK Larnaca FC.

Although he experienced fanastic highs during his time at Real Madrid where he won a La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League twice, Campo was a revelation at Bolton and has gone on record to say that the club is like a home to him.

Away from the domestic game, Campo also won four caps for Spain and was a member of the 2008 FIFA World Cup squad.

Upon retiring from playing he moved to Majorca and worked for Real Mallorca as a club ambassador and advisor to the club’s president.

After numerous troubles on the pitch which resulted in relegation from La Liga, North American owners came in to save the club and kept on Campo’s services as advisor to the board.
