After a career spanning 18-years with over 600 games under his belt, Gavin Peacock retired from playing in 2002 after a second spell at Queens Park Rangers.

Upon retiring, Peacock started working for the BBC where he provided punditry and analysis across their football shows on television and the radio including Football Focus and Match of the Day.

He also recorded a weekly podcast for former former club Chelsea’s official website.

In 2008 after embarking on a degree in theology Peacock announced his retirement from his media career to become a pastor in Canada and now acts as Elder and Pastor at Calvary Grace Church in Calgary.

In 2015 Peacock caused controversy on Twitter by posting a series of sexist tweets including one which said that women should ‘gladly submit to husband’s leadership’.
