Where is Gavin Peacock now?

Former Newcastle United and Chelsea forward Gavin Peacock retired from playing in 2002 after six seasons at Queens Park Rangers.

Starting his playing career at the Hoops in 1984, he went onto make over 600 first-class appearances for six clubs over an 18 year period and was one of Glenn Hoddle’s first Chelsea signings when he paid £1.5 million for him in 1993.

Upon retiring from playing, Peacock started working for the BBC where he provided punditry and analysis across their football shows on television and the radio including Football Focus and Match of the Day. He also recorded a weekly podcast for former former club Chelsea’s official website.

In 2008 after embarking on a degree in theology Peacock announced his retirement from his media career to become a pastor in Canada and now acts as Elder and Pastor at Calvary Grace Church in Calgary.
