David Wetherall

Where is David Wetherall now?

Former Bradford City and Leeds United defender David Wetherall finally hung up his boots at the age of 37 at the end of the 2007-08 season.

Starting his professional career with Sheffield Wednesday, he went onto make over 500 first-team appearances over a 19-year period for just the three clubs – all of them in Yorkshire.

Upon retiring from playing he stayed on at Bradford as a coach with their reserve side and also within their youth setup before leaving in 2011 to join the EFL as their Director of Youth Development.

He stayed in this role for 12 years before joining current side Huddersfield Town as the club’s Strategic Advisor to the Academy with a remit to advise on the processes of upgrading their status to Category 3.
