Where is David May now?

Former Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United defender David May retired from playing in 2006 after a spell playing in non-league football with Bacup Borough.

Although mostly used as squad player during his nine-year spell at Manchester United, May still picked up two Premier League title medals, two FA Cup winner’s medals and a UEFA Champions League winner’s medal.

He is also famed for appearing in all of the main 1999 treble winning season celebration photographs despite featuring in just seven games over the course of that season.

Upon retiring from playing, May stayed on at Bacup Borough as assistant manager before emigrating to Dubai in 2007 to take up a post as head of football at a new school.

Returning to the UK, May spent a couple of years importing wine before joining Manchester United’s in-house television channel MUTV in his current role as a pundit and commentator. He is also one of the co-hosts of the UTD Podcast.
