Where is Darren Barnard now?
A key part of Barnsley’s Premier League side for the 1997-98 season, Darren Barnard retired from playing full-time in 2007 after three years at Aldershot Town.
Still keen to keep playing he joined non-league side Camberley Town where he was appointed director of football and then general manager as well as remaining on the playing staff.
In 2010 he was appointed joint first team manager with Paul Miles taking on the reins on his own a year later when Miles left.

Barnard stayed at the club for two years before stepping down but during this period Barnard obtained his UEFA A coaching badges.
From Camberley Town, Barnard had a spell as head football coach at the University of Surrey before joining former side Aldershot Town as the manager of their academy.
After fulfilling all that he wanted to do at the academy, Barnard left after his probation period to look for a new challenge.
In 2014, Barnard was back in football as first team coach at Badshot Lea where he was instrumental in lifting the team from bottom to eighth position in the league but left in 2015 by mutual consent.
Barnard spent time working in the golf industry as a senior sales executive whilst trying to get back into professional football coaching and currently coaches one of the Camberley Town youth teams.
He also does the occassional co-commentary on Barnsley games.
