Where is Danny Dichio now?

Former Queens Park Rangers forward Danny Dichio retired from playing in 2009 after two seasons playing in the MLS with Toronto FC.

Starting his professional career with QPR in 1993 he went onto make over 450 first-team appearances for 11 teams including a spell in Italy playing for Sampdoria and Lecce.

After announcing his retirement he stayed on at Toronto as a team ambassador and academy coach before moving up to assistant manager in 2010. He then worked as head coach of the club’s academy before working as assistant coach of their reserve side.

Dichio left Toronto at the end of 2021 season and spent a short while out of the professional game before joining current side Sacramento Republic as assistant manager in 2022.

In 2021 he joined up with the Canada national side as one of their coaches for their CONCACAF qualifying matches.

He also provides football match analysis for Sportsnet TV in Canada.
