Where is Dane Whitehouse now?
Legendary Sheffield United winger Dane Whitehouse unfortunately had to retire from football in 2000 after failing to recover from a serious knee injury. He was only 30-years-old at the time.
Although he had to finish his playing days early he still managed to rack up over 250 clubs for his hometown club and won two promotions during his time there.
Upon retiring, Whitehouse started a new career as a self-employed delivery driver which he did for 10 years before working in his current job as a process operator for an aluminium company.
A fan’s favourite because of his loyalty to the club and important goals against rivals Sheffield Wednesday, Whitehouse makes regular appearances as a spectator at Bramhall Lane.
