The Premier League is up and running and we have seen enough of all 20 teams to establish an opinion on we think they are going to fare this season.
Here are three bets in the league that will hopefully help you make some money when it is all wrapped up.
Liverpool To Win The Premier League
Liverpool fell just one point short in their bid for their opening Premier League title last season behind champions Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp’s men have put that disappointment behind them and have made a blistering start to the new campaign, picking up 25 points out of a possible 27 with Manchester United the only side to hold them.
With Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino as their front three, Liverpool arguably have the best forward line in world football and those three players have already got off to a flying start this season.
Liverpool have Premier League – winner betting odds of 4/5 and with a nice cushion already at the top of the table, they look in great shape to go one place better than last year. Manchester City are the only danger to the Merseyside club but they don’t seem to be as consistent this season.
Leicester To Finish in The Top Four
It wasn’t long ago that Leicester City shook the football world by winning the Premier League title in what was one of the biggest surprises in the history of English football.
The Foxes have progressed under manager Brendan Rodgers and the start they have made to their campaign suggests they could be good enough to challenge for a top-four finish this season.
James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Youri Tielemans make the Foxes very dangerous going forward and that trio of players can help their side to finish in the Champions League spaces at the end of the campaign where they are 21/10 with the bookmakers for a top-four spot.
With so many question marks around the usual challengers for a top-four place, in particular, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United; Leicester can pounce and break the stronghold those clubs have had at the top end of the table for the last few years.
Newcastle To Be Relegated
Newcastle have made a poor start to the Premier League this season and their form is unlikely to improve any time soon, therefore, the Magpies should be backed to be relegated where they are 13/10 to finish in the bottom three.
The big loss for the North East club in the summer was not tying Rafael Benitez down to a new contract so he left the club. The Magpies appointed Steve Bruce as Rafa’s replacement and the former Aston Villa boss is going to struggle to replicate what the Spaniard has done over the last couple of years on a shoestring budget.
Newcastle’s only chance of survival is if they get enough positive results at home. They recently beat Manchester United at St James’ Park, however, the way United are playing at the moment, that isn’t quite as impressive as it would have been a few years ago.
Be lucky with your bets and enjoy the rest of the Premier League season.
