Ken Monkou

Where is Ken Monkou now?

After seven consecutive seasons in the Premier League with Southampton where he was constantly involved in relegation battles, Ken Monkou retired from playing in 2001 whilst at his last club Huddersfield Town.

Starting his professional career in 1985 in his native Netherlands with Feyenoord, he went onto make over 400 first-team appearances for four clubs over 16 year period.

Upon retiring from playing Monkou has made numerous appearances on Chelsea TV and the Dutch media as well as some corporate hospitality at Stamford Bridge.

He also owned and worked in a pancake house in his native Holland from 2007 to 2009.

Monkou is an ambassador for the PFA and Show Racism the Red Card, and has also graduated from the FA’s On The Board scheme which aims to get more black, Asian and minority ethnic’s on professional company boards.
