Where is Youri Djorkaeff now?

A fan’s favourite whilst at Bolton Wanderers where he linked up with fellow international stars Jay Jay Okocha and Ivan Campo, Youri Djorkaeff called time on his career after a final swansong in the MLS with the New York Red Bulls.

Djorkaeff retired in 2006 and decided to stay in New York where he has set up the Youri Djorkaeff Foundation.

The foundation aims to provide services and programs to the children of New York City through soccer for social change and improvement in the areas of athletics, mental and physical health and education.

During the Euro 2016 tournament, Djorkaeff worked for French television station TF1 as a pundit and match analyst alongside former French team mate Frank Leboeuf.

In July 2017 Djorkaeff will be representing France in Star Sixes, a new six-a-side indoor international tournament at the O2 in London featuring some of the world’s most iconic footballers.
