Where is Steve Vickers now?
A rock at the back for Middlesbrough during their time in the Premier League in the nineties, Steve Vickers retired from playing in 2003 after an injury ravaged spell at Birmingham City.
Starting his professional career at Tranmere Rovers in 1985, he went onto make over 600 first team appearances for four sides, playing 258 league games for the Boro.
Upon retiring from playing Vickers moved into property development and was a director at a successful construction firm before the recession hit and they were forced to dissolve the company.
Vickers also spent time working as a football consultant for BHP Sport as their head of youth development and recruitment.
He currently works as a director for a property investment company.
