Where is Stephen Hunt now?
A dominant force on the left side for every club that he played for, Stephen Hunt retired from professional football at the end of the 2015-16 season after a spell with League One side Coventry City.
Making nearly 500 appearances for seven clubs over 19 seasons, he was a Championship winner with Reading in 2006.
He was also a regular starter for the Republic of Ireland national side between 2007 and 2012 winning 39 caps and was also a part of their 2012 UEFA European Championships squad.
Upon retiring from playing Hunt embarked on a number of business projects including an award-winning restaurant called the ‘Tides Gastro Pub’ in Rosslare, Wexford which he opened in 2014.
He also spent time as head of football operations at IKON Talent Management and nows runs his own sports management company.
Hunt has also worked in the media for Irish television broadcaster RTE as a pundit and match analyst and also writes a regular football column for the Irish Independent, which he has been contributing to since 2014.
