Where is Sander Westerveld now?
Dutch keeper Sander Westerveld finally retired from the game in 2013 after two seasons playing with South African side Ajax Cape Town.
Playing for 19 years he made over 500 first-team appearances winning the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup treble with Liverpool in 2000 as well as making six appearances for the Netherlands national side.
He also played for teams in his native Holland, Spain, Italy and South Africa.
Upon retiring from playing Westerveld stayed on in South Africa where he worked as a goalkeeper coach with his former club Ajax Cape Town until May 2015.
Staying in the football world he has also worked as a television pundit and a player’s agent.
Westerveld is now working back in his native Holland as a player agent for football management company World Soccer Consult.
He also coaches the youth teams within the Netherlands international setup.
