Where is Muzzy Izzet now?
Former Leicester City midfielder Muzzy Izzet announced his retirement from football due to knee injuries in 2006 at the age of 32 after a spell playing at Birmingham City.
Starting his professional career with Chelsea in 1993 he went onto make over 300 first-team appearances for three teams over a 13-year period including the Foxes where he won promotion to the Premier League in 1996 and the League Cup in both 1997 and 1999.
He was also a member of the Turkey national side between 2000 and 2004 winning nine caps and featured in the 2002 FIFA World Cup Finals.
Since retiring from playing he has joined forces with PTC Sports and former team-mate Steve Walsh to set up the Advanced Football Development Academy for 16 to 18-year olds which helps develop and nurture their football skills.
He also works as an ambassador for PTC Sports which involves going into schools and providing sports coaching.
In September 2015 Izzet released his autobiography Muzzy: My Story which is available to buy from Amazon.
