Where is Michael Gray now?

A Sunderland legend, Michael Gray finished his playing career at the end of the 2009-2010 season after his contract with Sheffield United expired.

Starting his professional career with The Mackems in 1992, he went onto make nearly 600 first-team appearances for six teams, winning promotion to the Premier League with Sunderland in both 1996 and 1999.

On the international stage he represented the England national side on three occasions under Kevin Keegan in 1999.

Upon retiring from playing Gray moved into the media world and has since carved a successful career working as a pundit for most of the top sports broadcasters including BT Sport and beIN Sports as well as on the radio with talkSPORT.

He was most recently working as a pundit on Channel Five with Colin Murray on their EFL highlights show Football on 5.
