Where is Michael Ballack now?
Considered by many as one of the greatest players in the modern game, Michael Ballack retired from playing in 2012 after a two-year spell at former club Bayer Leverkeusen.
Playing over 600 domestic games and scoring 148 goals over a 17-year career, he won a number of trophies including the Bundesliga four times (once with Kaiserslautern and three times with Bayern Munich), the Premier League title, the FA Cup three times as well as the League Cup during his time at Chelsea.
A fan’s favourite, Ballack admitted in an interview in 2020 that he regretted leaving and wished he had retired at Chelsea and only left because at the time the club would only give players of his age a one-year contract and he wanted two years.

In retirement Ballack has moved into broadcasting and has provided punditry for many television channels including the BBC, Sky Sports, ESPN and most recently BT Sport.
