Where is Kevin Kilbane now?
After a distinguished domestic and international career, Kevin Kilbane retired from playing in 2012 after a spell at Coventry City.
Making his debut in 1995 for Preston North End, he went onto make 540 first-team appearances over a 17-year career for nine different clubs the majority of which in the Premier League with Sunderland, Everton, Wigan Athletic and Hull City.
On the international stage he was an important member of the Republic of Ireland national side from 1997 to 2011 winning 110 caps and scoring 28 goals. He is Ireland’s third most capped player.
Upon retiring from playing Kilbane moved into a career in broadcasting and has provided analysis and punditry on a number of television channels including the BBC and TV3 as well as radio work on BBC Five Live and Newstalk in Ireland.
He has also obtained a degree in Professional Sports Writing and Broadcasting at Staffordshire University and used to write a regular column for the Irish Daily Mail.
In 2020, Kilbane was one of 12 celebrities participating in ITV’s hit show Dancing on Ice. Although he was fourth to leave the competition it wasn’t all bad for the Irishman as he ended up marrying his Canadian professional skating partner Brianne Delcourt.
The pair have since relocated to Canada where he currently works as a pundit for Canadian broadcaster TSN.
