Where is Ivan Campo now?
Having appeared in 124 Spanish La Liga games in seven seasons, and 190 first-team matches for Bolton Wanderers, Ivan Campo retired in 2009 after a short spell in Cyprus with AEK Larnaca FC.
Although he had experienced fanastic highs during his time at Real Madrid where he won the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League twice, Campo was a revelation at Bolton and spent six seasons at the club.
He also won international honours with the Spanish national side, winning four caps between 1998 and 2000 and was called up to their 2008 FIFA World Cup squad.
Upon retiring from playing Campo stayed in the game as a club ambassador for former side RCD Mallorca as well as working as an advisor to the club’s president.
After numerous troubles on the pitch which saw the side suffer two relegations, North American owners came in to save the club and kept Campo in his current role as an advisor to the board.
