Where is Eddie McGoldrick now?
Eddie McGoldrick, a pacy winger who was renowned for his corner-taking abilities retired from playing professionally in 2000 at the age of 35 after three seasons at Manchester City.
During his 17-year career he won the old Division Four title with Northampton Town, the Full Members Cup with Crystal Palace and the UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup with Arsenal.
He also represented the Republic of Ireland on 15 occasions and was a member of the 1994 FIFA World Cup Finals squad.
After taking a couple of years out, McGoldrick moved into the coaching side of the game and had managerial spells at Corby Town and Bashley before joining the academy setup at Northampton Town in 2008.
He then spent time coaching at Leicester City and Crystal Palace as well as in Africa before linking up with Northampton College where he runs his own academy and education programme which is backed by the Crystal Palace Foundation Academy.
McGoldrick also coaches at Abbeyfield School in Northampton and Weavers Academy in Wellingborough.
