Where is Dean Sturridge now?

Former Derby County striker Dean Sturridge retired from playing in 2007 after a season playing in the lower league with Kidderminster Harriers.

Starting his professional career in 1991 with Derby he went onto make over 300 first-team appearances for six clubs over a 16-year period including 10 seasons with the Rams where he is still the club’s record goalscorer in the Premier League.

Since retiring from playing Sturridge has been working in broadcasting and had a season co-commentating on Derby County games for BBC Radio Derby before leaving to focus on a coaching career and now works as a commentator across various sports networks including beIN Sports, Sky Sports and NBC.

He also owns and operatates a player agency called Sturridge Sports Management.

He is the uncle of former Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge and his son DJ Sturridge is currently playing for Aston Villa’s academy and is regarded as a future prospect.
