Where is David Beckham now?
One of the most recognisable people on the planet, David Beckham called time on an extremely successful playing career at the end of the 2012-13 season after winning league titles in four different countries.
Starting his professional career at Manchester United in 1992 he went onto make 719 first-team appearances for six sides over a 21-year period winning an impressive number of trophies including six Premier League titles, two FA Cup wins, the UEFA Champions League trophy, the La Liga title, two MLS Cups, and Ligue 1 with his last club Paris St Germain.
On the international stage he had a distinguished career with the England national side between 1996 and 2009 winning 115 caps and playing in three World Cups and two European Championships.
Since retiring from playing, Beckham has continued to live his life in the public eye and has been involved in a variety of projects, both charitable and commercial including Sainsburys, Sky TV, H&M, Breitling, Adidas and Haig Club whiskey.
A UNICEF goodwill ambassador, he successfully played football in seven continents in seven days in 2015 culminating in a match at Old Trafford where he briefly played alongside his eldest son Brooklyn.
Away from football he has dipped his toe into acting and made his debut in the 2015 short film Outlaws where he played a mysterious drifter and motorcycle stuntman who is being hunted by a crazed director, played by Harvey Keitel.
He also had a cameo role in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword which was directed by his friend Guy Ritchie.
In February 2014 Beckham announced that he would be exercising his option to purchase an MLS expansion team in Miami with partners including ex-Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller. After the MLS approved the new franchise in January 2018 his Inter Miami CF team joined the league in January 2020 with Beckham at the helm in his current role of club president.
Following the approval of his franchise team, he joined his Class of 92 team-mates by investing into Salford City with a 10% stake.
Still very much in demand and extremely marketable, David Beckham’s net worth in 2021 is estimated to be in the region of $450 million.
In May 2021 Beckham was inducted into the Premier League’s Hall of Fame.
