Where is David Bardsley now?
Former Premier League defender David Bardsley hung up his boots in 2000 after spending two seasons at his first club Blackpool.
Starting his professional career in 1981 he went onto make over 600 first-team appearances for four clubs and was an integral member of the Queens Park Rangers team which finished fifth and eighth during the first three years of the Premier League.
He also played for the England national side on two occasions during the 1992-93 season.
Upon retiring from playing, he spent a year as assistant first-team coach at QPR before setting up his own soccer schools in the UK.
Moving to the United States in 2007 he set up a soccer academy which was affiliated with QPR where he worked as academy director and head coach until 2015.
Away from coaching Bardsley also works as a freelance football commentator and analyst.
