Where is Danny Gabbidon now?

An immensely talented defender who played in all four English leagues, Danny Gabbidon retired from playing professionally in 2015 after he was released from Cardiff City.

Gabbidon was signed by the Welsh side on a one year player/coach contract and had a spell as the club’s interim manager for five games when manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer was sacked during his time there.

In retirement Gabbidon has focused his attentions on a career in the media and has worked as a pundit and match analyst for various broadcasters including the BBC and Sky Television.

Gabbidon also worked as a pundit for talkSPORT on their Euro 2016 coverage of the Wales national team games.

He also works as a player consultant and mentor for sports management agency New Era Global Sports Management.

Gabbidon is also the co-creator and contributor on popular sporting podcast Hanging Up The Boots.
