Chris Armstrong

Where is Chris Armstrong now?

Former Premier League striker Chris Armstrong finished his career in 2005 after two seasons playing in the lower-leagues with Wrexham.

Playing in over 400 first-team games over 16 seasons, Armstrong recorded decent goal numbers at each of the five clubs he played for and was Tottenham Hotspur’s record signing when he moved from Crystal Palace for £4.5 million in 1995.

Since retiring from playing Armstrong has not been involved in any aspect of the game and has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons.

In July 2016, he was found guilty of possessing cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy when police raided his flat in West London and was fined £375.

Friends of the former player say that he has dabbled with drugs since retiring from playing but when questioned by a national newspaper, Armstrong denied that he had a drug problem.
